This itinerary describes a tour of several historical and cultural sites in Luxor, Egypt. The tour begins with a pickup from a hotel in Hurghada, a city on the Red Sea coast of Egypt. From there, the tour travels to Luxor, where it visits the Karnak temple complex, a large religious building consisting of three temples, and the Luxor temple, which was built to honor the kingdom rather than a specific deity. The tour also includes a visit to the west bank of the Nile, where there are many tombs in the Valley of the Kings. These tombs are decorated with murals and are believed to be the burial places of several pharaohs, including Thutmosis I, Thutmose III, Tutankhamen, Ramses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep II. The tour also includes a visit to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh to rule over Egypt. The tour includes a lunch break at a local restaurant in Luxor, as well as a stop at the Memnon colossi, two large statues that have stood guard in the area for over 3400 years. The tour concludes with a return trip to Hurghada.
